Community Education Seminars – NQ Wrap Up and SEQ Registrations closing soon!

Our latest round of Community Education Seminars were held in Cairns and Townsville last week delivering the latest information on the North QLD Insurance Readiness Program and a Strata MythBusters session busting many common misconceptions in the strata industry.

If you missed out on these sessions, you can find out more on the North QLD Insurance Readiness Program by attending a webinar being held later this week. We also head to South East QLD later in the month to continue on the MythBusters sessions in all 3 SEQ regions.

Hosted by Smart Strata foundation Partner, Archers the Strata Professionals these sessions featured three industry experts to present on the topics. North Queensland Strata Title Inspection Program Manager Angela Verhaaf of James Cook University opened the sessions guiding the audience through program development, registration and future delivery timelines. She will also be providing a future article contribution combining some of the feedback received during the presentation Q & A to ensure the wider strata community has a thorough understanding of the program and how to best utilise the initiatives it offers.

Strata Community Association QLD are hosting a members only webinar with Strata Title Inspection Program Manager Angela Verhaaf presenting on the program and are taking questions prior to the session that can be submitted here. Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management Chris Irons and Strata Law expert Frank Higginson of Hynes Legal provided an entertaining yet informative presentation busting many common myths including those submitted by the audience during the sessions. A full list of the most talked about Myths will be published following the next sessions to be held in SEQ to provide a good range of the industry misconceptions state-wide and enable focus on these areas to provide further education to the strata community.

Commissioner Chris Irons along with Strata Law experts Frank Higginson of Hynes Legal will be presenting at the Sunshine Coast seminar, Mario Esera of HWL Ebsworth Lawyers will present at the Brisbane seminar, and Juliette Nairn of OMB Solicitors will present at the Gold Coast seminar.
